“I joined one take studios almost 3 years ago now and it has been a great experience. When I first joined everyone was so nice and open and it made it easy to talk to all the students and staff. Since I started, I have leveled up a lot in my dance and martial arts. Even though I had no background in martial arts, the head instructors Mr. Robert and Ms. Neilah taught me with patience. I have gone to countless dance competitions with them where they have shown me how amazing the dance community is. I wouldn’t be where I am currently without these two coaches and what they do for all their students. Even when I tore my meniscus, they helped me build my dance around my injury. I thought the injury was the end for me, but they showed me it’s just a stepping stone for what’s ahead. So, I truly thank everyone at one take studios for making me into the person I am today.”

“One Take is a hidden gem. It took me a year to find a place that teaches real hip hop dance in the NOVA area. Both Coach Robert and Coach Neilah are actively involved in the dance community and seek continuous improvement in their skills set even though they both have many years of experience already. I enrolled both my little kids in the little dancers class for a trial month. They had no dance experience before. But both coaches are very patient and encouraging. The classes are fun. The first 25 minutes are spent learning dance moves. And the last 5 minutes are for students to show what they ‘ve learned or just show whatever moves they have in their mind. This helps to increase their motivation to learn and self-confidence.
We love the experience during the trial month, and are seriously considering come back for dance lessons whenever schedule allows (I’ve enrolled my kids in quite some activities already).”

I remember when I had a bad experience in my old studio, and I didn’t want to dance because of my bad experience then one day my mom told me about One Take I didn’t not want to go but my mom convinced me the first day I came I didn’t not want to leave. They made me feel special and loved they are always there for me and if I need someone to talk to, they are there. One Take is more than just instructors they are family, I have been through so much and they have always been there for me no matter what. “It’s been a year now since my son started martial arts at OTS , I randomly found them on google and went in for a one time class and my son loved it . He got started after the holidays and since then has not stopped , let’s not say now he’s even doing after school care which he loves & enjoys . Mr. Robert and Ms.Neilah are committed to not only teaching students but having a relationship with each student . My son was struggling at home a few months ago with some things and the fact that Mr Robert took time with him to talk to him and give advices meant a lot. “Joining One Take Studios in May 2019 is one of the best choices I’ve ever made. I’d been looking for adult dance classes for what felt like years, but never found anything that was motivating enough to take the leap. I came to One Take after reading reviews of the atmosphere and culture they’ve created.
I’ve dealt with chronic health problems for years and it has made exercise difficult. I wanted to get back into enjoying exercise and knew dance would be the right thing for me. Robert and Neilah are patient, open, and caring - not to mention amazing dancers.
People aren’t exaggerating when they describe one take as inclusive, fun, and loving. It’s more welcoming than you would imagine. I love the class for myself but it’s also awesome to see the kids learning - they’re amazing dancers.
In my time at One Take I’ve noticed myself not only becoming more comfortable dancing, but getting better and better. The instructors each offer something special to the students, whether it be specific moves or some background on dance culture. If I say I don’t think I can do something, they help me figure out a way to work towards it that doesn’t put me down or make me feel inferior (our bodies learn a lot slower as we age!).
